PIC Hiking Day: Prompting Wellness and Team Spirit

On 14 October 2025, PIC Hilltop Bukit Batu Mas hosted the much-awaited PIC Hiking Day, an event aimed at encouraging health, wellness, and teamwork among PIC employees. More than 100 enthusiastic participants, including committee members took on the 3-kilometre trail leading to the summit of Bukit Batu Mas, which a journey typically completed within 30 to 40 minutes. The hike offered not only a refreshing escape from daily routines but also a chance to reconnect with nature and colleagues in a meaningful way.

 

The event’s significance was amplified by the presence of several distinguished leaders, whose participation underscored the spirit of collaboration across different operating companies. Among the notable leaders were Encik Adlee Abu Bakar (SGM PIC Operation and Complex Management, PRPC), Encik Wan Syahrul Anuar (CEO, PC INA), Encik Mohd Ali Azlan (CEO, CEFS) and Mr Kim Jongwon (CEO, LGPC), Encik Mohd Kabir Noordin (Head of Manufacturing, PRefChem) and Mr Anthony Entol (Interface Manager, PT2SB). Their involvement reflected strong leadership support for initiatives that foster employee engagement and well-being.

PIC Hiking Day was made possible through strong collaboration from PRPC, PRefChem, PC INA, PGSSB, LGPC, PT2SB and CEFS played a pivotal role in making the event a success. Their contributions ensured a well-organised and enjoyable experience for all, complete with safety measures, refreshments, and a vibrant atmosphere that fostered camaraderie and connection.

Beyond the physical challenge, PIC Hiking Day served as a reminder of the organisation’s commitment to well-being and teamwork. The climb symbolised resilience, perseverance, and unity, and the breathtaking view at the summit was a well-earned reward for every participant. 

The event concluded on a high note, with participants expressing excitement for future wellness and engagement activities. PIC Hiking Day was more than just a hike, it was a celebration of health, collaboration, and the vibrant spirit that defines our workforce.
