PIC Unites in Colourful Jalur Gemilang Distribution Drive to Celebrate Merdeka
In anticipation of Malaysia’s 68th Independence Day and the true spirit of patriotism and unity, Pengerang Integrated Complex (PIC) proudly kicked off the Merdeka season with a vibrant Jalur Gemilang Distribution Drive on 27 August 2025 at Main Gate 3, marking a heartfelt tribute to Malaysia’s 68th Independence Day.
The event, co-organised by PRPC and PGSSB, saw the enthusiastic distribution of 800 of Malaysia flags, Jalur Gemilang, to all PIC employees, tenants and leaders across various departments and subsidiaries. The event was graced by participation of representatives from PRPC, PRefChem, LGPC, PGSSB, CEFS, and PC INA, each flag a symbol of shared identity and unity within our diverse workforce. But this was more than just a flag handout — it was a celebration of togetherness, purpose, and pride. From waving flags to exchanging smiles, the atmosphere buzzed with camaraderie and the joy of being part of something bigger than ourselves.
We were honoured by the participation and support of our senior leadership team including, En. Kamal Bahrin Ahmad (PRPC SVP/CEO), En. Adlee Abu Bakar (PRPC/SGM POCM), Mr Hiew Pang Ling (PGSSB/General Manager), Mr. Ramiah Subramanian (PGSSB/Head Operation), En. Wan Syahrul Anuar (PC INA/CEO), En. Mohd Ali (CEFS/CEO), Mr. Kim Jongwon (LGPC/CEO), Mr. Pieter Kuiken (PRefChem/CFO), En. M Zainol Mohd Zin (PRefChem/GM Manufacturing Integration Office) who joined hands with employees to demonstrate the values of unity and patriotism. A heartfelt thank you goes to the dedicated teams from POCM, Group Security, HRM, and SCSM, along with all the volunteers and organisers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this programme to life.
This programme was more than just a ceremonial gesture; it was a heartfelt effort to instil patriotic values and strengthen camaraderie among the PIC workforces. By waving the Jalur Gemilang together, employees symbolically reaffirmed their dedication to the nation and to each other, reinforcing the bonds that unite the PIC family.
As Merdeka Day approaches, this initiative stands as a powerful reminder of our shared heritage and the importance of unity in diversity. Let the spirit of Merdeka continue to inspire us in our journey towards making PIC THE Regional Petrochemical Park.
